Sydney-Based 1:1 Mobile Therapy

Our Buds therapy team is known for two things; delivering leading Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) therapy and being relentless in ensuring a child’s entire ecosystem is working together to help your child thrive. As ESDM therapists we help your child develop skills in the following domains:

  • Receptive Communication
  • Expressive Communication
  • Social Skills
  • Fine Motor Skills
  • Gross Motor Skills
  • Cognition
  • Personal Independence
  • Play Skills

As case managers we make it our responsibility to:

  • Empower and upskill parents and educators
  • Create bridges for connection between your child and others
  • Support your child to thrive at home, at childcare and in the community

The Buds Program Phases

Tailored programs supporting children with additional needs across multiple developmental areas

Phase 1

Meet & Greet

We meet with you and your child in your home. This gives us the opportunity to learn more about your child’s needs and for you to learn more about us.

Phase 2

ESDM Assessment

We assess your child according to the ESDM curriculum checklist. This will give us a comprehensive understanding of the skills your child currently possesses and the skills that your child is yet to acquire.

Phase 3

1:1 ESDM Sessions

We begin our journey together by doing ESDM sessions at home. ESDM allows us to teach your child their foundational skills across all areas of development while also allowing us to build rapport with your child.

Phase 4

Introduce childcare sessions

Once we have established a strong connection with your child, we will introduce childcare sessions. These sessions will focus on helping your child create friendships with other children and also to promote their engagement in the childcare setting.

Phase 5

Introduce community sessions

These sessions help integrate your child into the community so that they develop their understanding of the community and how to become active participants in different community settings.

Milestone

Child starts kindergarten

The end of one chapter and the beginning of the next. We will continue to remain in contact to ensure that your child has a smooth transition to kindergarten. 1:1 sessions with us ceases.

FAQs

As per our clinical process, the majority of the children we see receive one 2-hour session per week.

The Buds Program supports your child through to kindergarten. Once school starts, 1:1 sessions cease — but we support the transition. For children aged 6–8 who need ongoing support, the Academy Group Program may be the next step.
The Buds Program develops skills across: receptive communication, expressive communication, social skills, fine motor, gross motor, cognition, personal independence, and play skills.
